November 2016: Treasures In Heaven

November 3, 2016

Treasures In Heaven is a wonderful story about two young men who seek to follow Jesus.  The young rich man asks how to gain eternal life and struggles with the answer that Jesus gives him.  And then there’s Zacchaeus who simply does what the Lord asks and gives half of his wealth to the poor.

Jesus calls us to an exciting life with heavenly treasures far surpassing the riches the world offers. This call extended to everyone. Unfortunately, not everyone heeds Jesus’ commands. Many, like the rich young man, are tempted and sidetracked by the world. However, those who are obedient like Zacchaeus and follow Jesus will find themselves richly blessed in Heaven.

Here’s a link where you can view a small portion of this video.

Our Scripture memory verse is:  “If you love me, you will do what I ask.” John 14:15  The verse, located on our magnetic Scripture Memory Board.

Level 1 and Level 2 activities pages are available for your learners.

We have a great selection of Welcome Activities to get kids engaged in fun as soon as they walk in the door!  Kids can play “balloon baseball,” work together to play “ball toss” with the parachute, or participate in several minute-t0-win-it cup games!

We also have a Parent Take-Home page so parents know what their child is learning this month and they can help their child learn the Scripture memory verse.

Remember our ministry’s mission:  “To make our Special Friends Life Group the best 60-minutes of a kid’s week!”  Every Sunday that you serve and represent our Special Friends ministry you help to make this happen!
