Our Christ-like character-trait for this month is: friendship

Friendship is: “Treating others the way you want to be treated.”

Our Scripture memory verse is:  “A friend loves at all times.” Prov.17:17

Our bible story is:  The Good Samaritan

Here’s a short video of our story in case you need a little refresher.

Here are some ideas that you can implement using our acronym B.E.L.O.V.E.D. to help our learners understand the character trait of friendship:

Bless Everyone

  • Use your words to talk about being a friend at church, at home, and at school.
  • Use your words to praise kids/teens in the classroom when they’re being friendly.

Love Others

  • Model friendship thru your actions.

Value Each

  • Ensure that your attitude reflects value, worth, and respect for others.

Discuss God’s Word

  • Join in on what they’re doing and tell them the story of the Good Samaritan.
  • Complete this month’s activity pages with them.
  • Grab the small magnetic whiteboard and have them match the pictures of this month’s Scripture memory verse and/or prayer.

Thank you for creating a space in your busy day to serve others and help to make disciples!

God bless,

Mike

PS:  Who’s someone you can develop a friendship with and eventually share your testimony?
