April 2015 Character Trait: Being Grateful

March 26, 2015

Curriculum, Nudge

Our Christ-like character-trait for this month is being: grateful

Grateful is: “Showing appreciation for something.”

Our Scripture memory verse is:  “Jesus is not here. Jesus is alive!  Matt.28:6

Our bible story is:  the Easter Story

Here’s a kids video of the Easter story in case you needs a little refresher.

Here are some ideas that you can implement using our acronym B.E.L.O.V.E.D. to help our learners understand the character trait of obedience:

Bless Everyone

  • Use your words to remind our kiddos/teens of things they can be grateful for (i.e., parents, home, church, Jesus’ love, clothing, etc.).

Love Others

  • Model thru your actions the love of Christ.

Value Each

  • Ensure that your words and tone of voice convey respect and value for those we serve.

Discuss God’s Word

  • Join in on what they’re doing and tell them the story of Easter
  • Complete this month’s activity pages with them.
  • Grab the small magnetic whiteboard and have them match the pictures of this month’s Scripture memory verse.

Thank you for creating a space in your busy day to serve others and help to make disciples!

God bless,
