One Easy And Fun Way To Make A Difference

Belonging, Outreach, Resources

famminFamilies should not have to meet the challenges of raising a child with a disability without the love, care, and support of their local church.

At First Baptist Orlando, volunteers serve one Saturday a month in our Buddy Break ministry as a way to ensure that special needs families in our community feel welcomed and supported by our church.

The benefits to First Baptist Orlando in providing a Buddy Break ministry are numerous, not only for the family and the respite provider, but for our church as a whole.

These benefits include:

  • Showing our community that ALL people matter to God.
  • An increased sense of belonging for families of children with special needs.
  • Providing opportunities for kids to hear the Gospel.
  • Making a positive difference in the lives of children with special needs and their families.

God is using people who are ALL IN, like you, to help strengthen families by providing a place of welcome for their child with special needs.

We have a great team of volunteers here at First Baptist Orlando who have been an essential part in making our Buddy Break ministry a success by being ALL IN and sharing their time and the love of Christ!

If you are looking to be a part of something that God is doing in the lives of children and families, then without a doubt, Buddy Break is it!

Each new Buddy (volunteer) that we have allows us to serve one new family!
