All In With Karaoke

“All people matter to God” is one of our core values at First Baptist Orlando. What this core value means to us is that a person’s worth and value isn’t based on what he can do…or can’t do.  Worth and value aren’t based on ability, skin color, socioeconomic status, or level of education.  Rather, a person’s worth and value is grounded in the truth that he or she is made in God’s image and loved unconditionally.

AllInOne of the ways that we live this core value out is by being ALL IN and giving of our time and talents to Him and for Him! God is calling us to more than an ordinary life. He is calling us to a special mission, a life “poured out,” and filled with purpose.

God is challenging us to positively impact our Orlando community. And last Saturday, 12 members of First Baptist Orlando answered that challenge!  We had an opportunity to host a Karaoke Night the Russell Home…a home for adults with special needs.  We had a great time singing songs, eating pizza, engaging in fun activities, serving the Russell Home staff and making new friends!RussellHomepic

Thank you to the MetroWest Home Life Group and the Special Friends ministry for making a difference in our local community and connecting with people through real and relevant acts of service!

If you’d like to be a part of our next disability-related outreach, call or email Michael Woods, Director of the Special Friends ministry at First Baptist Orlando!
